Washtenaw County Road Commission has shared an update on the Huron River Drive #B2BTrail progress.
The temporary bridge is now complete and their contractor is using it to transport equipment and materials to the peninsula area to facilitate the construction of the trail. Caution is still advised while boating/tubing along the river. River-users will need to pass under the temporary bridge, so please be mindful of the piers in the water.

On Thursday, August 8, HWPI held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction of phase 2 of the Chelsea-Stockbridge connection of the #B2BTrail! Partners and major supporters from the community gathered to mark the occasion.
Two exciting elements have been added to this section of the trail. The first is a new B2B trailhead located at the intersection of North Territorial Road and M52, adjacent to the Lyndon Township hall. Parking, shelter, bathrooms and other amenities will be available. The second feature is a tunnel crossing of M52 to replace a planned at-grade crossing. The tunnel will connect the Waterloo and Pinckney Recreation Areas and will serve as a major safety improvement for the trail.
