On the ballot November 6th, Washtenaw County voters will have the opportunity to vote to RENEW the parks and recreations proposal which is a 10-year, 1⁄4 mill levy that supports development and operations of the Washtenaw County Parks system. HWPI is providing information about this ballot initiative so voters may make an informed decision.
* The millage will cost the typical household $30 per year. * First approved in 1988, it has been renewed for an additional ten year period two times. * Your support enables county-wide recreational facilities, programs and parkland to be used and enjoyed by the public, contributing immeasurably to the quality of life in Washtenaw County. * Funds from this proposal support non-motorized trails, they help to continue the development of the Border-to-Border Trail and a Countywide non-motorized trail network.
