Each year thousands of people use the
Border-to-Border Trail (B2B). This number will continue to grow
as the B2B is expanded. Trails ensure a future of sustainability
and health. Trails provide access to nature and the outdoors.
Trails connect our cities and towns.
We need your help to build free, accessible trails in our region.

The Karen’s Trail Campaign:
Our public fundraising effort for 2018 is centered around the Karen’s Trail Campaign. This effort honors the life and legacy of Karen McKeachie. Karen was a pioneer in women’s sports, a world-class triathlete, a community leader, and a beloved friend of many. Tragically, Karen was killed in August 2016 while biking on Dexter-Chelsea Road. It is the wish of Karen’s husband, family and friends to honor her memory by providing safe, non- motorized pathways for all. To learn more about the exceptional life of Karen McKeachie, please visit the Karen’s Trail website.
The Michigan Fitness Foundation is the fiduciary sponsor of the Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative, and is a qualified 501(c)(3) public charity (ID 38-3172025). Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
